In 2003, the International Medical Relief Foundation received a number of very generous donations.  IMRF has sent these
gifts -donated by local hospitals and physicians- to medical facilities in various third world countries that are in dire
need of modern equipment and supplies.  Following is a brief description of some of our 2003 Donors and their charitable contributions:

•  Jeffrey Hirsch, CEO of Orange Regional Medical Center (Middletown, NY),  orchestrated the donation of various medical
supplies (gauze, bandages, etc) and equipment (monitors, et al) to IMRF.  These items were sent to hospitals in Kenya
in early 2003.

•  Cataract surgery will be modernized at Gita Bhawan Hospital in Indore, India, thanks to the donation of a Phaco
Emulsifier.  The machine, valued at $30,000, was a gift from Dr. Erik Nathanson, in cooperation with the Rotary
club of Hudson, NY.  It was sent to Indore during the Summer of 2003, courtesy of the Share & Care Foundation
(check their link in our Links page).

•  A dental chair and accessories were donated by Dr. Paul Horsemann through the Port Jervis (NY) Rotary club.  The chair
was disassembled for transport to its future home in Grenada.

•  Dr.  Martha M. McGuffie, M.D. was instrumental in securing two entire roomfuls of operating equipment from a local hospital
in NY.  The entire donation, which includes surgical lights, scalpels, knives, etc, is valued at over $1,028,000.  IMRF sent these items to Kenya, Africa.
